Which station for which sight

Changing between BTS and MRT

BTS and MRT have separate gates: you exit one network to enter the other. The junctions are Siam (both BTS lines), Asok and Sukhumvit, Sala Daeng and Silom, Mo Chit and Chatuchak Park, Phaya Thai (BTS and Airport Rail Link) and Phetchaburi and Makkasan (MRT and Airport Rail Link).

Cards, fares and hours

The Rabbit card costs 200 baht (100 baht fee, 100 baht credit) and is topped up at ticket offices. The BTS does not accept contactless bank cards at the gates: you need a ticket or a Rabbit card. The MRT accepts contactless cards. No joint ticket covers both networks. The Airport Rail Link connects Suvarnabhumi to Phaya Thai: see our page on the Airport Rail Link and the Bangkok airports.

Works and changes

We found no announced closure for November 2026; MRT fares changed on 3 July 2026. Check BTSC and MRTA notices the day before.
