Iconsiam: the riverside shopping centre and its floating market

Updated on October 1, 2026

Iconsiam is a vast shopping centre that opened in November 2018 on the Thonburi bank, in Khlong San district, across the river from Bang Rak. Beyond the shops, people come for SookSiam, a recreated floating market on the ground floor, and for the park along the Chao Phraya. The centre is open daily from 10am to 10pm and entry is free. Allow 2 to 3 hours for SookSiam, a meal and the riverside walk. Come in the late afternoon: you will see the river at sunset and then the evening fountain show.

Highlights

SookSiam

On the ground floor, wooden boats are moored along an indoor canal, surrounded by food and craft stalls. The space presents products from the country's 77 provinces, grouped by region: North, Northeast (Isan), Central and South, each with its own décor. Some of the restaurants change with the seasons.

The riverside park

The riverside park

A park of more than 10,000 m² and a promenade run along the Chao Phraya at the foot of the centre. From the waterfront, the view takes in the opposite bank, its hotels and the boat traffic. Upstairs, ICONSIAM Park, a garden planted with Thai species, offers another viewpoint over the river.

The fountain show

Along the river, a fountain more than 400 metres long combines water jets up to 35 metres high with lights and music. The show is free, every evening at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm; the centre's website lists it until 31 December 2026.
