Mahanakhon SkyWalk: the glass floor at 310 metres, tickets and opening hours

Updated on October 1, 2026

The Mahanakhon SkyWalk sits at the top of the King Power Mahanakhon tower, the "pixelated" skyscraper designed by the German architect Ole Scheeren and opened in 2016 in the Silom and Sathorn business district. At 314 metres, the tower holds the highest observation deck in Thailand: a glazed gallery on the 74th floor, then an open-air rooftop on the 78th, with its glass floor suspended 310 metres above the street. On a clear day the view takes in Lumphini Park, the towers of Sukhumvit and the bends of the Chao Phraya River. An adult ticket costs 1,000 baht during the day and 1,200 baht in the late afternoon; allow one to one and a half hours on site.

Highlights

The pixel tower

The pixel tower

Ole Scheeren carved a spiral of protruding cubes into this glass tower, as if the facade were being "unwrapped" as it rises. The building houses a hotel on its lower floors and luxury residences up to the 73rd floor; visitors only have access to the ground floor and the observation deck levels. Take time to look at it from Narathiwas Road or the BTS station before going up.

The glass floor

The glass floor

On the 78th-floor rooftop, the Glass Tray is a fully glazed 63 m² platform jutting out 310 metres above the ground: you walk over the void, with Narathiwas Road far below. Shoe covers are provided to step onto it. Right next to it, "The Peak" marks the highest point in Bangkok open to the public, at 314 metres.

The 360-degree panorama

The 360-degree panorama

From the rooftop your eye sweeps across the whole city: to the north-east, the green rectangle of [Lumphini Park](/fr/attractions/parc-lumphini) and the towers of Sukhumvit; to the west, the loops of the [Chao Phraya River](/fr/attractions/fleuve-chao-phraya-bangkok). The air-conditioned indoor gallery on the 74th floor has interactive screens to spot the main landmarks, binoculars and Bangkok's highest postbox, from which you can send a postcard.

The lift and the digital corridor

After the ground-floor ticket office, a corridor of screens devoted to Bangkok leads to the lifts, where videos play during the ride: less than 50 seconds to reach the 74th floor. A glass lift then links the 75th-floor mezzanine to the rooftop.

Mahanakhon Bangkok I-Tilt

On the 75th floor, this open-air ride tilts you forward up to 65 degrees over the void, 296 metres up. It is paid separately (450 baht) and requires a height of 1.20 m to 2 m, a maximum weight of 120 kg, and no flip-flops, high heels or jewellery; it is not recommended for pregnant women or people with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or joint or breathing problems.

Sky Beach bar

On the rooftop, the Sky Beach bar serves cocktails and American-style bites, with DJs in the evening; it advertises opening hours of 10am to midnight every day (last entry at 11pm). The 76th and 77th floors house the Mexican restaurant OJO Bangkok, and the 4th floor the SkyVerse digital exhibition (350 baht, 10am to 9pm).

Tickets and prices

The SkyWalk ticket gives access to the 74th-floor gallery and the 78th-floor rooftop. Adults: 1,000 baht from 10am to 3:30pm, 1,200 baht from 3:30pm to 7pm. Children aged 8 to 12 and seniors over 60: 500 baht from 10am to 3:30pm, 600 baht from 3:30pm to 7pm. Tickets are sold at the ground-floor counter or on the tower's official website.

Tips

Leave large bags at your hotel: backpacks, suitcases and any luggage that is not a hand-held item are refused, as are tripods, drones, food, drinks and alcohol. The more expensive 3:30pm to 7pm slot is the sunset one: book it in advance in high season. If the sky is heavy with rain or haze, the view is very limited; postpone your visit if you can and spend the day somewhere under cover (see [Bangkok on a rainy day](/fr/articles/bangkok-jour-de-pluie)). Prices checked in October 2026.

How to get there

Opening hours

Idéal : An hour before sunset
