Quick choice

Starred tables

The Michelin Guide Thailand 2026 has two three-star restaurants, both in Bangkok: Sorn and Sühring (the latter promoted in this edition). Mezzaluna and Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie, at the Mandarin Oriental, hold two stars. These are tasting menus: book ahead and check the dress code. For every starred and Bib Gourmand address, read our guide to Michelin restaurants in Bangkok.

On the Chao Phraya

  • Chakrabongse Dining: royal Thai set menus that change daily, served in a historic riverfront house facing Wat Arun (Michelin Plate).
  • Chang-Wang-Imm: affordable Thai cooking in a waterside house built in 1957 (Bib Gourmand).
  • Phra Nakhon at the Capella Bangkok hotel: a calmer setting among trees and garden.
  • Supanniga Eating Room: authentic Thai food with river views, cited by the Michelin Guide among its good-value picks.

To see the river while you eat, a Chao Phraya dinner cruise is the easiest alternative to booking a table.

Rooftops and views

Bangkok rooftops depend on the weather and often have a dress code. Our guide to restaurants with a view in Bangkok compares the addresses and gives practical advice.

Everyday Thai food

To eat without booking, the street is often the best option: see our guide to street food in Bangkok. For a specific area, our page on eating in Sukhumvit lists addresses for every budget.

Booking tips

  • Book starred and riverside tables several days, even weeks, ahead.
  • Restaurants are air-conditioned but terraces suffer in the rainy season: ask for an indoor table as a fallback.
  • For payment and tipping, check the menu: service and taxes are sometimes added.
