Siam Park City, renamed Siam Amazing Park in 2019 but still called by its old name (or "Suan Siam") by Bangkok residents, is the oldest amusement and water park in Southeast Asia: it opened on 19 November 1980 in Khan Na Yao, in north-east Bangkok. It covers about 48 hectares and has more than thirty attractions, split between thrill rides and a large water park. It receives around two million visitors a year. It is the simplest day out for rides without leaving the city limits, and the most refreshing in the capital in the hot season.
Highlights

The water park and the wave pool
The wave pool, about 13,600 m², was recognised by Guinness World Records in 2009 as the largest in the world. Around it are slides of all sizes, children's pools and rows of parasols: bring swimwear, a towel and goggles.

The entrance castle
The colourful façade with pastel turrets welcomes visitors and is the backdrop for family photos. Young children get their bearings here before heading off to the rides.

The lake and the tower
A lake with pedal boats lies at the foot of the big rides. The Si-Am Tower (109 m) viewing tower looks over the park and its surroundings.
Vortex
This suspended looping coaster with five inversions was the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. For thrill-seekers only.
Giant Drop
A 75-metre free-fall tower, one of the most dreaded rides in the park. Height and health restrictions are posted at the entrance to each ride.

Tips
According to online resellers consulted in October 2026, the adult ticket costs around 25 to 30 US dollars, with a buffet lunch included depending on the package; children under 100 cm enter free. Some reseller tickets are reserved for non-Thai visitors: bring your passport. The gate price and what the ticket includes (lunch, transfer, locker) vary: compare when booking, as official prices are not clearly displayed. Bring swimwear, a towel, a change of clothes, a hat and sunscreen; paid lockers are available. On weekends and during Thai school holidays the park is very busy: choose a weekday. For animals, see Safari World; for another amusement park, Dream World. More ideas with children: Bangkok with kids and the SEA LIFE Bangkok aquarium, closer to the centre.
How to get there
The park is in Khan Na Yao, in the north-east of the capital, far from the centre. The simplest way is a taxi or Grab from the centre (allow about an hour at rush hour) or an organised trip with transfer. By public transport the journey is long: one route travellers mention is the BTS to Mo Chit, then a taxi. Check the day's route on a maps app before you leave. Adresse : 203 Suan Siam Road, Khan Na Yao, Bangkok 10230.
