Dream World: the amusement park north of Bangkok

Updated on October 9, 2026

Dream World is an amusement park that opened on 12 November 1993 in Thanyaburi, in Pathum Thani province, just north of the capital. It covers around 20 hectares and is split into four zones: Dream World Plaza, whose entrance is modelled on Disneyland's Main Street, Dream Garden (landscaped gardens), Fantasy Land (a fairy-tale world) and Adventure Land (space and the future). There are more than thirty rides, including roller coasters and the Grand Canyon, a river raft ride. It is a full-day outing for families and teenagers, and nicest on weekdays, when queues stay short.

Highlights

Dream World Plaza and the gardens

Dream World Plaza and the gardens

The park entrance, with its American-style street fronts, leads to large ornamental gardens and a lake with floating flower sculptures. Coconut palms shade the paths: this is the quietest zone, ideal for a break.

The roller coasters and the Sky Coaster

The park has three roller coasters; one of them is a suspended coaster that was converted into the "Sky Coaster" in 2007. Height and health restrictions are posted at each ride: respect them, even for children who insist.

The Grand Canyon

A raft ride down an artificial river with rapids and splashes: bring a change of clothes or a poncho.

Fantasy Land

The zone for the youngest: carousels, small rides and fairy-tale characters. It suits children who are too small for the big rides.

Snow Town

Some tickets include an optional artificial snow room with sledding and games: check when booking whether it is part of your package.

Practical info

Tips

According to online resellers consulted in October 2026, the "all rides" ticket costs around 950 baht and the package with a buffet lunch around 1,250 baht; children 90 cm or under enter free. Prices at the gate and on booking platforms differ: compare before paying, and check what your ticket includes (Snow Town, lunch, transfer). Most of the park is in full sun: bring a hat, sunscreen, water and closed shoes. In the rainy season, rides may close during a thunderstorm. For another amusement park in the capital, see Siam Park City; for animals, Safari World. How to get there

The park is in Thanyaburi, on the Rangsit–Ongkarak road, around kilometre 7, about 15 km from the Future Park Rangsit junction. The easiest way is a taxi or Grab from central Bangkok (allow an hour or more at rush hour) or an organised trip with transfer, sold by online platforms. By public transport, you have to reach Rangsit by bus or minibus from Mo Chit, then take a taxi: the journey is long, so allow half a day of combined travel. Adresse : 62 Moo 1, Rangsit–Ongkarak Road (km 7), Bueng Yitho, Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani 12130.
