Thainosaur Museum in Bangkok: Thai Dinosaurs and Fossils at Asiatique
The Thainosaur Museum is a small palaeontology museum on the first floor of the Skyflyer building at Asiatique The Riverfront. It presents the dinosaurs found in Thailand, with authentic fossils and life-size reconstructions, including Nagatitan chaiyaphumensis, a sauropod about 27 metres long described by Thai and British researchers in May 2026 and the largest dinosaur known from Southeast Asia. Allow one to one and a half hours. Do not confuse it with the temporary "Thainosaur" exhibition at Museum Pier, which ended in November 2025: this page is about the museum at Asiatique.
Highlights

Nagatitan, the giant of the tour
The reconstruction of Southeast Asia's largest dinosaur dominates the galleries. Its remains were found in Chaiyaphum province in north-eastern Thailand, beside a village pond; the discovery was announced in May 2026.
Authentic fossils
The museum shows real fossils, not just models, and reconstructions of the animals that lived in Siam millions of years ago. The Thai species on show range from predators to huge long-necked plant-eaters, with their anatomy, skin and colours restored according to current scientific knowledge.

An adventure through time
The visit follows a path through several prehistoric eras, combining palaeontology and staging. It makes a good addition to an evening at Asiatique with children, between the Ferris wheel and dinner.
