Calypso Cabaret in Bangkok: tickets, show times and tips

Updated on October 15, 2026

Calypso Cabaret is Bangkok's best-known cabaret revue. Founded in 1988 in a former cinema on Sukhumvit Road, it has played since 2012 in Warehouse 3 of Asiatique The Riverfront, on the banks of the Chao Phraya. The performers are transgender women (kathoey) who lip-sync rather than sing live in a series of numbers: feathered revues, star impersonations, songs in Thai, Chinese, Korean or Japanese, and comic sketches. No Thai is needed. The show lasts about an hour and is performed twice an evening. This page covers tickets, show times and access; to compare it with khon, Thai dance and boxing, see our guide to shows in Bangkok, and to plan the evening see Bangkok at night.

Highlights

The revue

The revue

Feathered and sequinned costumes, impersonations of singers, numbers in several languages and comic interludes: the programme is light and visual, designed for an international audience. The show is open to all ages under adult supervision.

Dinner packages

The cabaret has its own Thai restaurant; the official ticket office offers the show alone (with a soft drink at resellers), a Thai dinner + show package, and a river dinner cruise + cabaret package. Dinner is booked together with the ticket.

Photos in the lobby

After the show, the performers pose for photos in the lobby. This is done for a tip; bring some small change.

An evening at Asiatique

The site stays open until midnight: arrive before the show for the Ferris wheel, the shops and the riverside restaurants (see Asiatique The Riverfront).

Practical info

Tips

  • The cabaret does not publish a price list: in October 2026, authorised resellers list tickets at around 900 baht and the box office on site charges about 1,200 baht per adult. Booking online in advance is therefore cheaper and guarantees a seat at weekends. Check the exact time when you book: resellers announce 7:15 pm and 9 pm, but the cabaret suspended the second show and the late dinner in summer 2026. Tickets are non-refundable; booked directly with the cabaret, a ticket can however be moved to another date. A child under 3 shares a parent's seat for free. The hall is wheelchair accessible: mention it when booking. Arrive at least 10 minutes before the start. Buy only from the cabaret or a recognised agency.
