Dusit Central Park: Silom's new complex, rooftop garden and shopping
Dusit Central Park is a complex that opened in September 2025 at the corner of Silom Road and Rama IV Road, opposite Lumphini Park, on the former site of the Dusit Thani hotel. It combines an eight-storey shopping centre, the Dusit Thani hotel, residences and offices, and stands out for a terraced rooftop garden open to the public. It connects directly to BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Silom stations, making it an easy stop between the Silom business district and the park. Allow one to two hours for the centre and the garden. The complex is new: shops, garden hours and events change, so check the official website, dusitcentralpark.com, before you go.
Highlights

The rooftop garden
The planted terraces look out over the Silom towers and neighbouring buildings, with paths, benches and viewpoints. It is one of the few places in this district where you can walk outdoors at height, calmer than the street below.

Neighbouring Lumphini Park
The complex stands right opposite the biggest park in the centre. A visit combines the rooftop garden with a stroll in Lumphini Park, with its wide lawns and monitor lizards.
The shopping centre
Eight floors of fashion and homeware shops, restaurants and cafés, with Thai and international brands, several hundred in all. The exact list changes with openings; most restaurants are on the lower and upper floors.
The Dusit Thani hotel
Silom's historic hotel, opened in 1970, is part of the new complex. Even if you are not staying, look at the hotel lobby and restaurants from the public areas.

Practical info
Tips
The rooftop garden opens earlier than the shops (from 6am according to the information found): late morning and sunset are the best times, as the afternoon heat is strong. Check the garden's closing time on the official website, as it differs from the centre's. Take the BTS to Sala Daeng or the MRT to Silom rather than a taxi, because traffic around Rama IV is heavy. For meals, our guide to food courts in Bangkok gives price markers if you want something cheaper.
How to get there
