Tight budget: a pool for under 1,500 THB
In Banglamphu, the Rambuttri Village Inn & Plaza has a pool about 3 minutes' walk from Khao San Road, from about 1,200 THB. Limits: street noise, a high deposit on arrival according to reviews, and no BTS or MRT nearby (Phra Arthit pier is about 10 minutes on foot). For other budget addresses, see where to stay in Bangkok on a small budget.
Mid-range: rooftops and city centre
The Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, on Silom Road, has a rooftop pool, a sauna and a spa pool; it is close to Chong Nonsi BTS station. Several reviews find the pool small and the building ageing. The Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 has a 9th-floor pool and sits 10 minutes' walk from Asok and Phrom Phong BTS and Sukhumvit MRT; a few reviews mention rather tight rooms. In Siam, the Centara Grand at CentralWorld has an outdoor pool and rooftop bars, linked to the CentralWorld mall. In Pratunam, the Amari Bangkok (formerly Amari Watergate) has an outdoor pool and a spa, near the night market and the shopping arcades; reviews mention roadworks nearby.

For the view: rooftop pools
The Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road has a rooftop infinity pool with city views, about 400 metres from Ploen Chit BTS. Some find the pool small, and rooms facing the street can be noisy. Rooftop pools sometimes close for maintenance or because of weather: ask the hotel about pool status and hours before you book.
By the river and for families
The Riva Surya Bangkok, on Phra Arthit Road, 5 minutes' walk from Khao San Road, has two pools; reviews mention noise from night boats. The Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, on the Thonburi bank, is a resort with a large pool, a kids' club, a spa and a shuttle boat to ICONSIAM and Sathorn pier; the area is quiet and taxis can be hard to find late at night.
