Bangkok Planetarium: shows, hours and tickets (to be checked)
The Bangkok Planetarium is part of the Science Museum and Planetarium at 928 Sukhumvit Road, in Ekkamai, close to BTS Ekkamai station. The museum has science exhibitions; the planetarium offers projections about the sky and space, mostly in Thai. It is a cheap, air-conditioned outing for children curious about astronomy, as long as you do not count on English-language shows every day. The information below comes from unofficial travel sources: confirm the hours, shows and prices on the official website or by phone before you go, as works or programme changes are possible.
Highlights

The planetarium and its lunar module model
In front of the building, a replica of a lunar module attracts children before the show. Inside, the projection on the dome shows stars, planets and journeys through space.
Shows in Thai and English
According to a travel website, Thai-language shows run several times a day from Tuesday to Sunday, while English-language shows would be rare, for example a single one on Tuesday morning: confirm before you come.
The science museum exhibitions
The neighbouring museum offers interactive exhibitions on physics, nature and space, useful to round out a half-day visit.

Tips
According to a travel website, admission to the science museum would cost 30 baht for an adult and 20 baht for a child, and the planetarium show 50 baht for an adult and 30 baht for a child; these prices are indicative and should be confirmed. If you do not speak Thai, find out about English shows before you come: otherwise, favour the museum and its exhibitions. Avoid days with many school groups (weekday mornings) if you want some peace.
