Pattaya Beach: everything within reach
This is the centre: Beach Road, the shopping centres, the restaurants, and Bali Hai pier for Koh Larn at the south end. The area has the widest choice of hotels, but it is noisy at night, especially near Walking Street. Ask for a room on the courtyard side or on a high floor.
Jomtien: the quiet beach
South of the hill, Jomtien has a longer and calmer beach, seafood restaurants and many residences and condos. It is the area best suited to families. The centre is one songthaew ride away: 15 baht up to 10 km since 10 April 2026.
Pratumnak: between two bays
The hill separates Pattaya bay from Jomtien bay. It has Wat Phra Yai and its viewpoint, quiet hotels and open views. The slopes are hard to walk in the heat: plan on a songthaew or ride-hailing.
Naklua and Wong Amat: the north
Residential and quieter, the north has seafront resorts and the Sanctuary of Truth. You are away from the centre's bustle: a good choice for resting, less so for going out on foot.

- Noise: check the room's orientation and recent reviews.
