Watching a night of Muay Thai in one of the big stadiums is one of the most memorable experiences in Bangkok. Rajadamnern Stadium, opened on 23 December 1945 on Ratchadamnoen Nok Road, bills itself as the world's first Muay Thai stadium; it has around 3,500 seats and stages fights every night of the week. Its historic rival, Lumpinee Stadium, owned by the Royal Thai Army, left Rama IV Road in 2014 for a new arena on Ram Intra Road, in the north of the city, which hosts among others the ONE Lumpinee Friday nights. Before each bout, the fighters perform the wai kru ram muay, a ritual dance honouring their teachers, accompanied by the traditional orchestra (pi klong) that then sets the rhythm of the rounds.
Highlights

A night at Rajadamnern
Each night has its own card: Rajadamnern Knockout on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays (7 bouts of 3 rounds), New Power on Wednesdays and Petchyindee on Thursdays (8 bouts of 5 rounds), Rajadamnern World Series on Saturdays (7 bouts of 3 rounds) and Kiatpetch on Sundays (9 bouts of 3 or 5 rounds). Doors open at 5pm or 6pm depending on the night, and the stadium ticket office opens daily from 3pm.

The wai kru and the five rounds
A traditional bout is fought over five three-minute rounds with two-minute breaks: the first rounds are for sizing each other up, and the intensity rises from the third. Punches, elbows, knees and shin kicks are allowed, as is clinching.
Seats and prices at Rajadamnern
The stadium offers six categories: Superior Panoramic Balcony (Saturdays only, 15 seats, free-flow drinks), VIP Lounge, Singha Ringside next to the ring, Club Class, 2nd Class (LEO section, close to the local bettors) and 3rd Class, the highest and cheapest. According to the official website, expect around THB 2,500 for ringside, more for VIP, and THB 1,500 to 1,800 for the mid-level stands; the exact price depends on the night and is shown when booking.

ONE Lumpinee on Fridays
Every Friday, Lumpinee Stadium hosts ONE Championship's ONE Lumpinee nights (Muay Thai and MMA), with doors opening at 5:30pm and the first bouts at 6:30pm. For the October 2026 nights, the official ticket seller Thai Ticket Major lists THB 1,000 for Category 3, 2,500 for Category 2, 3,500 for Category 1 and 5,000 for ringside, plus a THB 30 fee per ticket; some dates cost more (up to THB 12,000 ringside on 13 November 2026). Children must have a ticket, and tickets can be neither refunded nor exchanged. About once a month, the stadium also hosts a ONE Fight Night on a Saturday morning.
MBK Fight Night, free
The MBK shopping centre, linked to BTS National Stadium station, holds free fights on the first and last Wednesday of the month, from 2pm to 8pm on the ground floor (Avenue A): boxing until 6pm, then Muay Thai from 6pm to 8pm. Upcoming 2026 dates: 7 and 28 October, 4 and 25 November, 2 and 30 December. The centre is next to the [Siam shopping malls](/fr/attractions/centres-commerciaux-siam-bangkok).

Tips
Buy your tickets at the stadium ticket office or through its official online ticketing (Rajadamnern's website links to Ticketmelon, ONE Lumpinee is sold on Thai Ticket Major), never from touts at the entrance or from tuk-tuk drivers and agencies offering marked-up tickets or seats that do not exist; see [scams to avoid in Bangkok](/fr/articles/arnaques-securite-bangkok). Ringside gives the closest view, but Club Class offers an unobstructed view of the whole ring, popular with families and first-timers. Betting is for Thai spectators only: foreigners just watch. Stay seated and quiet during the wai kru, take photos without flash and without standing up, wear closed shoes rather than flip-flops and, at ringside, smart casual clothes (collared shirt, trousers). For paying in baht, see [paying in Bangkok](/fr/articles/argent-paiement-pourboire-bangkok). Prices and times as observed in October 2026.
