What you see at Doi Inthanon
The summit peaks at 2,565 m, the highest in the country, and the twin royal pagodas stand around 2,200 m, on a landscaped terrace just below. It is much cooler than in Chiang Mai: bring a light jacket. Waterfalls, including Wachirathan, and trails like Kew Mae Pan are the other classic stops on tours. According to one source, nature trails and some waterfalls close during the rainy season (June to October): ask the operator what is open on your date.
